The session descriptions for the Advanced Fusing class have been posted.  Please refer to the calendar page for further information.  There are also individual class descriptions listed on the Fusing page.  Students can call or email us to register for the class.

Students will have three options for this class:

  1. You may sign up for all 8 sessions (please note that this year we will be meeting January through June, then break for July and August resuming in September and finishing in October).  Cost for all 8 sessions is $800.  Students may pay as they go or pay in full.  Students paying for all 8 sessions by January 31st will receive a 25% discount ($600.00)
  2. You may sign up for individual sessions as desired.  You may pick and choose which classes you would like to attend.  Class fee is $100 and includes 3 hours of studio time each week after the class for three weeks.  Also includes the firing of one project.
  3. You may sign up for just the class session and pay only $50 per session.  This option does not include studio time or the firing of any projects.

The class structure this year will be a little different from last year.  Our first session will be a review of the basics aimed primarily at those who did not take the class last year, but previous students are encouraged to attend and bring their projects from last year to share with new students and to participate in an artistic critique of their body of work.  The next four sessions (February –  May) will be classes designed to help the artist learn techniques for creating elements to include in their final projects.  In June we will explore ways of using those elements in a final project.  In September we will explore the method of painting on glass and in October we will look at ways the glass artist can create unique one-of-a-kind pieces from scrap glass.

Students who have taken our Fusing and Forming Quick and Easy class are eligible for this class.  If you haven’t taken our class but have experience with fusing you may contact the studio to see about eligibility.
