2016 Calendar is Posted

We have Posted the 2016 Calendar for Classes and Workshops.  Just click on the calendar tab at the top of the home page and it will take you to where you can check out the schedule for the coming year.

We’re making a few changes this year:

This year we are going to be offering some specialized workshops for students who already know how to do stained glass, fusing or mosaic.  These are skills workshops designed to help you improve in a few key areas that will make your artwork easier and more fun.  Check out the new Glass Cutting workshop designed for anyone doing glass art that requires the glass to be cut into specific shapes.  This one day, one hour workshop is for stained glass students, fusing students and mosaic students who want to learn the tricks of the trade that make glass cutting a snap!  We will also be offering a one day, one hour soldering workshop for students of stained glass.  Here’s your opportunity to learn how to do a perfect solder line!  Finally, we are going to be offering a glass painting class.  This is an all day workshop.  We’re still working out all the details so keep watching to find out more.

We will be offering our Advanced Fusing class again this year.  It was a rousing success and we’ve been asked to do more.  Class topics will be somewhat different from last year so that students may return and take the class again.  There has also been a slight increase in the price, but students signing up for all 8 sessions by January 28th will receive a 20% discount on the cost.

One other change that we are making is to shorten the Beginning level classes to three weeks.  We have done this for a couple of reasons but mainly because we wanted to be able to offer the advanced workshops without overlapping classes.  This would not be fair to our students or, quite frankly, to the instructor who would be forced to be bouncing back and forth between classes.  The Beginning classes will still contain the same information that was covered, and the same projects that were made in the four week class.

Finally, we are putting into place, or rather enforcing a policy this year regarding enrollment.  We must have at least 4 students registered to run a class.  If we do not have the minimum the class will be cancelled.  Students from cancelled classes will be given priority for the next available class or a class time of their choosing.

As always, if you have questions or concerns please email us or call the studio.
