I Can’t

I am friends with a Facebook page called Buddhist Boot Camp and they posted this today. I thought it was very fitting because I hear many students saying, “I can’t do that” or “It’s not very good” “It’s too hard”. So here is something to think about. “Michael Jordan was cut from his High School Basketball Team; Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for “lacking imagination” and “having no original ideas”; The Beatles were rejected by Decca Recording Studios who said, “We don’t like their sound; They have no future in the show business”; Oprah Winfrey was demoted from her job as a news anchor because she “wasn’t fit for television”; The first twelve publishers who read Harry Potter rejected it; and Albert Einstein’s teachers said he would “never amount to anything”; Thomas Edison’s teachers said he was “too stupid to learn anything.”. Moral of the story: Don’t believe what “they” say. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
